From your first slide to your first jump
Snowboarding has its own learning curve, its own terrain, and its own culture — taught here by instructors who ride themselves, not ski instructors covering a second discipline.
A different sport, taught properly
Snowboarding isn’t skiing on one plank — the balance, the falls, and the progression all work differently, and guests taught by a genuine snowboard specialist tend to progress faster with far less frustration in the first few days. Every snowboard instructor in our network rides as their primary discipline.
Who this is for
First-time riders
The hardest days are the first two; a good instructor makes the difference between wanting to try again and not.
Switching from skiing
Riders who already ski and want a properly taught introduction, rather than picking it up informally.
Freestyle & park progression
Already comfortable on-piste, and ready for structured coaching on jumps, rails and park features.
What to know before you go
Board, boots and protective gear (wrist guards, in particular, for beginners) can be arranged in advance if you don’t travel with your own — let us know when you enquire. The first one to two days are usually the most physical, regardless of age or fitness — this is normal, and part of why a specialist instructor’s pacing matters here.
“These guys are an incredibly professional outfit and their knowledge of the mountains and terrain is remarkable. They're great at identifying someone's level of ability and designing the perfect day or days accordingly. Great mountaineers, guides, instructors — and very handy at booking the perfect restaurants for lunch and après.”
